Dr Imran is a PhD-qualified audiologist and Clinic Manager / Senior Audiologist at Amplifon in Cairns, with more than 18 years of clinical experience across Australia and India. His background spans diagnostic audiology, advanced hearing rehabilitation, research, university teaching and clinical mentoring, providing him with broad expertise in supporting people with diverse hearing needs.
Before joining Amplifon in 2015, he worked with Australian Hearing, Macquarie University, Cochlear Ltd and Manipal University, gaining broad experience across clinical practice, research, education and hearing technology.
His approach combines clinical assessment, speech-in-noise testing, evidence-based hearing-aid fitting and clear counselling, helping clients make confident decisions about their hearing, communication and long-term quality of life.
Dr Imran Dhamani
Dr Imran’s areas of specialisation include adult hearing rehabilitation, speech-in-noise assessment, complex hearing aid fittings, tinnitus management and support for listening difficulties, as well as evidence-based hearing aid optimisation.
He holds a PhD in Audiology from Macquarie University, where his research focused on auditory processing, attention and memory in children with listening difficulties in noise. He also holds a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, graduating with a Gold Medal for academic excellence.
