Centre for Research and Studies

The Amplifon Centre for Research and Studies

The Amplifon Centre for Research and Studies was founded in 1971 as a non-profit independent organisation for the dissemination of knowledge in the fields of audiology and otology.

The CRS

From its earliest years the Centre for Reseach and Studies (CRS) has made a name for itself in the scientific community, focusing its efforts on scientific research, supporting the professional development of doctors and audiologists and organising training courses and conferences in conjunction with Italian and foreign universities.

The CRS works with an independent scientific committee of academics to draw up an annual programme of initiatives, as well as awarding prizes and scholarships.

Fundamental research projects

Over the years, in collaboration with major European universities, the CRS has co-ordinated research projects funded by the European Commission such as AHEAD (Advancement of Hearing Assessment Methods and Devices) I and II, HEAR (Hereditary Deafness Epidemiology And Clinical Research) and  GENDEAF (Genetic Deafness).

Training courses and scientific conventi

From 1971 to the present day, the Centre for Research and Studies (CRS) has hosted  over 600 courses and conferences, 215 of these have been in just the last 12 years, averaging 100 to 150 participants per conference.
