Making a Difference as Hearing Practitioner

Heather's Story
Last update on Mar, 05, 2019

Heather Roney is a Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner at our New Westminster, British Columbia clinic.

Heather has worked in the hearing health industry for nearly 17 years and always knew she wanted to work in healthcare. She enjoys connecting with others and is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.

Heather's father in-law has lived with a severe hearing loss for many years. "I have seen first-hand the negative effects untreated hearing loss has not only for the individual, but the family as well. This is why one of the most rewarding parts of my job is building strong relationships with clients, along with their family and gaining their trust. They know I have their loved ones best interest in mind and that we share the same goal. Making sure my clients have the best possible hearing is the reason I love going to work every day."

Sometimes we can make a positive impact just by being an ear to listen.

Heather knows how important it is to be available to her clients; be there to answer questions and calm their fears.

"We don’t know what challenges people face in their lives, sometimes we can make a positive impact just by being an ear to listen. Having these experiences with our clients is what I love about my work."
