When you attend your hearing test appointment, your local expert audiologist or audiometrist can help you address your hearing concerns. We will take time to listen and understand more about the situations and environments where you are experiencing difficulties hearing, whether that's day to day activities or certain situations. We'll be there to support you through your journey and evolving hearing needs.

The testing process is comprehensive and uses the latest hearing testing technology. You can expect to be with us for around one hour. We will discuss your hearing history, complete a lifestyle questionnaire, an ear examination and a mixture of speech and audiometric tests so that we can fully understand your hearing needs.

 

As the forerunners in adopting the latest digital technology, we will provide you with a selection of hearing aids that use the very latest features and connections, giving you a seamless listening experience. There are a wide variety of styles and models, each with varying levels of pioneering technology, that will give you a listening experience completely tailored for you and your hearing needs.

During your hearing test, our expert audiologists or audiometrists will demonstrate a range of suitable hearing solutions tailored just for you and explain how each of them work, giving you confidence in its ability to help you hear better again. You can try them on and see which models and styles you feel most comfortable with.

Experiencing the sounds around you that you may have missed out on can be really exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Our hearing professionals are always on hand should you have any questions or need any support.

The world around you becomes more exciting when you immerse yourself in the world of sound. Our audiologists and audiometrists enjoy hearing about how you have regained confidence in taking an active role in conversations, and being able to rediscover the things you enjoy the most as a result of better hearing. 

Upon placing your hearing solution order with your audiologist or audiometrist, they will talk through what happens next, and how Amplifon will continue to support you through your evolving hearing journey. If you are placing an order for an In the ear canal (ITC/CIC) hearing aid, a personalised mould will need to be taken of your ear. It only takes a few minutes and is neither painful or uncomfortable.

You can expect your new life changing hearing solution to be ready within 14 days, depending on any specific requirements you may have. Upon arrival at your local clinic, your audiologist or audiometrist will fit your hearing aids and show you how to place them in your ears yourself, so that when you leave the clinic you feel confident in your new hearing solution.

As part of joining the Amplifon family, your audiologist or audiometrist will explain your programme of Lifetime Aftercare. This programme is where we will manage your hearing experience so that your hearing solution continues to perform at its optimum level.

Your audiologist or audiometrist will also demonstrate and explain how to take care and maintain your hearing aids for optimal performance. Changing batteries and knowing when they need replacing will also be explained, with the opportunity to ask any questions you need to.
