Your guide to a hearing health screening
A hearing health screening is an easy way to assess the health of your ear canals and ear drums. The screening includes a thorough examination including a Otoscopy, which could help to identify any underlying causes of hearing loss. Some of these include:
- Excessive accumulation of ear wax
- Fluid accumulation in the middle ear
- Perforation of the eardrum
- Scar tissue on the eardrum
- Infection
- Any abnormalities in the ear canal
Once the health of your ears has been assessed your results will be discussed with you. We will also perform a quick test. If there is any indication of hearing loss your Audiologist will advise you to arrange a full hearing test.
The hearing test process can take up to 60 minutes.
