The problem of infantile hearing dysfunction is a complex and very delicate matter because of the negative impact this can have on the development of children's communicative and relational skills; being able to hear is an important part of the development of their linguistic abilities.
Language development follows a clear path starting from hearing spoken language, then understanding words, then the acquisition, codification and decodification of language before finally moving on to reproducing words. If we remove the first of these steps it is clear that it is impossible for language development to proceed naturally.
