Amplifon, following the recommendations of psychoacoustics experts and in collaboration with university centres in Europe and the United States, has developed the "best practice" system of fitting hearing aids by means of an interactive process with the patient.

The methodology, which is exclusive to Amplifon, requires the active involvement of the client during the whole process: interaction is essential from the initial phase of analysing the hearing problem right up to the final evaluation of customer satisfaction and customer benefit.

The interaction takes place between hearing-aid specialists who, thanks to continuous online training, are well trained to use the available technology in the best possible way, and patients with hearing difficulties who needs to be guided to give the most precise answers possible about their hearing deficit.

The method which guides the interaction between these two is Amplifit, an interactive test which is very interesting for the client, provides the hearing-aid specialist with an auditory profile of the client. The comparison between the patient's data and the behavioural models of subjects with normal hearing in the same situations allows the specialist to select an appropriate solution for that particular patient.
