Hearing loss, both a reduction in hearing (hypoacusis) and severe deafness, is considered a serious health problem by the scientific community, occupying one of the first places among the causes of permanent invalidity.
The incidence of the problem is certainly important in terms of the quality of life of those affected. But it also has a social cost for the wider community. Then there is an additional problem of a certain reluctance among patients to accept treatment.
This type of deficit, which is treatable in the majority of cases (85-90%) by the use of hearing aids, which involve high-technology production and which are fitted using advanced digital techniques, is in fact treated in only 10% of cases of hearing problems.
All the experts in this sector and financial analysts agree that the current use of digital technology in the treatment of hearing difficulties will lead to a better perception of hearing aids in the very near future and therefore will result in a more widespread use of such aids.
